Hemisphere
A hemisphere is a half of a sphere.

This scene in the the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone takes place in the Great Hall at breakfast. The owl post had just arrived and Neville had opened a package from his grandmother to reveal a remembrall. This magical object fills up with red smoke when you forget something. The top half of the remembrall is a sphere.
"A barn owl brought Neville a small package from his grandmother. He opened it excitedly and showed them a glass ball the size of a large marble, which seemed to be full of white smoke. This scene in the movie Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban takes place when Harry, Ron, and Hermione are making their way up to the common room, only to see that the whole corridor is filled with students not entering the common room. The top half of the sneakoscope that Harry is holding is a hemisphere.
"Harry, Ron, and Hermione followed the rest of the Gryffindors along the usual path to Gryffindor Tower, but when they reached the corridor that ended with the portrait of the Fat Lady, they found it jammed with students."
